Introduction to Health Economics
The first course is Introduction to Health Economics, which runs from September 26 to December 19, 2025, every Friday from 12:00 to 13:50 in room S309.
The course focuses on how health systems work, the demand for healthcare and health insurance, provider markets and financing, efficiency measurement, data sources and empirical methods, international comparisons, health technology assessment (HTA) and innovation, quality of care and public health challenges, as well as the development of relevant soft skills.
The course is designed for advanced students and professionals seeking recognized ECTS credits, and completion is awarded with a microcertificate.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Healthcare
The second course is Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Healthcare, which takes place from November 14 to December 19, 2025, every Friday from 14:00 to 17:50, also in room S309.
This course focuses on entrepreneurship in healthcare, collaboration and competition, efficiency of resources, licensing versus open-source models, the use of big data and artificial intelligence, electronic health records (EHR), e-health, digital health and telemedicine, new financing models, and workforce competencies and mobility.
Participants will again receive a microcertificate, and the course is designed for advanced students and professionals seeking recognized ECTS credits.
