Jakub Hlávka was appointed Director of the Institute for Health Economics, Policy and Innovation in August 2023. He previously served as Assistant Research Professor at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and is currently Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at USC Keck School of Medicine. His work has included collaborations with the public and private sectors, including the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, foundations and biotechnology companies. His research interests include population aging, health care and technology financing, particularly of new pharmaceuticals.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work with experts from Masaryk University and other partner institutions on projects related to ageing, including Alzheimer’s disease, burden of disease, program evaluation, health claims data analysis and on the development of an economic-demographic microsimulation model.
