The Applied Health Economics Master's (MSc./Ing.) programme, offered at Masaryk University from the academic year 2025/26, is designed to develop the skills of analysts, managers, and researchers in the healthcare sector.

Emphasizing an international teaching style, graduates of the programme will contribute to the more efficient utilization of human and economic resources in healthcare, aiming to achieve the best societal outcomes.

The Applied Health Economics programme provides students with comprehensive training across various essential areas of healthcare. This includes instruction in health economics, public health, epidemiology, and knowledge about health care products and services. Additionally, students will develop strong methodological skills in data analysis, evidence synthesis, and economic evaluation of programmes and products. They will also receive specialized training in health policy design, health financing, healthcare law and regulation, international healthcare systems, and healthcare entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the programme incorporates practical components such as a compulsory internship lasting 6 weeks or longer, as well as a final thesis/project conducted in English.

Upon completion, students will be equipped for diverse careers spanning data analysis, health policy and management, and health technology assessment. The programme offers flexibility for students to explore other areas of interest and pursue their desired career paths.
